Abandoned Rabbit and Guinea Pigs

I received a frantic telephone call from a lady who had just moved into a house and found that what she thought was a pile of rotting wood was in fact a shoddy rabbit hutch with a rabbit and 3 guinea pigs in it.  All were filthy, matted and very thin.  She had no idea how long they had been left there.  We took them in and cleaned them up, here are before and after pictures.  The after pictures showing the filthy, matted fur removed from the guinea pigs and the rabbit had to have great lumps of excrement removed from her rear end as well.   All of them had over-grown claws.

This is caused by long term neglect, these animals would have suffered every day from pain and discomfort for months to get in this state.

We removed enough matted fur from this guinea pig to make another guinea pig!
