Fundraising events for 2009:

We have been invited by Airbus to have an information |

and tombola stall at their family day out at Broughton. |

| This is always a very popular event so if you are going | ||

along look out for us, have a go on our tombola and help |
|
| us to raise much needed funds. | ||
| Sept 5th Sat | Three young people are going along on a sponsored walk | |
| up Snowdon for us, they are Natalie, Claire and Scott. | ||
| If you would like to sponsor any of them please get in | ||
| touch. | ||
| Sept 12th Sat | We are having a street collection in Mold town centre | |
| and, weather permitting, a Book Sale as well. If you feel | ||
| you could give a couple of hours to help us, either on the | ||
| Book Sale or street collection, please get in touch. | ||
| Sept 16th Wed | Coffee Evening, Bistre Schoolroom, Buckley | |
| 6.45 – 8.30 pm | There is a bring and buy table, a raffle, coffee or tea and | |
| biscuits. If you wish to come along please do so. We | ||
| always love to meet new people at our little gatherings. | ||
| Sept 20th Sun | This is, we hope, the start of a great tradition of Dog Day | |
| celebrations. We have organised a Great Dog Day at | ||
| Wepre Park, Connah's Quay, Deeside with: | ||
| - A car boot sale starting at 8am. | ||
| - A sponsored dog walk of 2, 4 or 6 miles with staggered | ||
| starts from 9.30am. If you wish to register for this event | ||
| please telephone 01244 547938 or email | ||
| capricornrescue@aol.com so that we can send you a | ||
| sponsorship form. | ||
| - A Dog Show, with entries being taken from 10am. | ||
| Judging starts at 12 noon with the Pedigree classes | ||
| followed by the fun classes at around 1.30pm. | ||

- An obedience display given by the Werner Training |
||
| Club team, and hopefully a parade of "Dogs with Jobs". | ||
| We would like to have a great fun event, but we need | ||
| companies as well as individuals to take part. This is | ||
| going to be a mini agility BUT with a difference! We | ||
| want teams of two, one handler, one "dog" (person | ||
| disguised as a dog but not in a hired dog costume). | ||
| Teams will go around the course against the clock. We | ||
| need teams to sign up and be sponsored if possible. If | ||
| there are any people, young or old, willing to make a | ||
| fool of themselves and raise money for us please get | ||
| in touch. | ||

| us in our work. Raise funds for Capricorn Animal | ||
| Rescue's new kennels. | ||
| There will be ice cream vans, refreshments, stalls, fun | ||
| fair, car boot, something for everyone. | ||
| The show has a serious side. We are hoping to promote | ||
| responsible dog ownership and show what dogs can do | ||
| for the community. We want to build this event into a | ||
| Great Dog Day where people can talk and learn about | ||
| dogs, what they need from us and what they do for us. | ||
