Bonnie and Clyde

  • Bonnie and Clyde are two Beagle cross rough haired terriers.
  • They came in to the Sanctuary through the Dog Warden.  They were thin, extremely dirty, smelly and frightened.  They were running together, although Bonnie had a thick rope lead tied round her neck then in a figure of eight tied round her ribs and belly, both noose style.
  • When Bonnie came in she drank excessively and only nibbled at her food.  I took her to the vet to be examined and after blood and urine tests it was established that she had a very bad infection of the womb and she had to have emergency surgery to spay her as her condition was life threatening.
  • Bonnie is now well on the road to recovery and both dogs are now friendly, eating well and starting to gain weight, although we haven't yet started to clean them up, other than flea treat and worm them.

Please note:

All dogs in the Sanctuary, waiting to be adopted are identi-chipped, inoculated, wormed, flea treated, insured and if not yet neutered, then a voucher is given to have the dog neutered.

No dog will be homed where there are children under the age of five years. No dog will be homed where both partners are working full time, dogs need people contact during the day. A secure garden is a must when adopting a dog from us.
